knnccb... i did my driving test this morning. and i fucking failed! arrrrghhh!!! $130 bucks down the fricking toilet. Aussie $130!! thats like almost RM400!!! the bah kut tehs i could have had! the roti canais! the indo mie gorengs! /cry

now i have to wait 7 days to do another test, which isn't too bad. but booking an actual test is kinda iffy. most of the ones i can go to are booked out for the month. i'd do it at Liverpool la, since the traffic isn't too bad. I kinda like it with more traffic anyway. Easier to drive imo, especially since the god damned speed limits in residential streets is usually 50km/h (note: I failed my test by driving at 52km/h in a 50 zone. the inspector anal or not?)

anyway, now I gotta hope for driving test cancellations after nex tuesday, so i get this thing over and done with. aihs. i think i'll kill myself if i fail again. blehh

it seems like blogging is a weekly thing for me now. i only do it when i'm don't have WoW to play :p Incidently, I wanted to go shopping for some new clothes today. But then kena cancel cuz played WoW for too long. Doing an instance run with the rest of the guys. About 3 hours gone there. Aihs... oh well, guess I have to shop next week.

Ermmm. Whats new? I'm taking my driving test on Tuesday. I'll be doing a quick run through of the test with a driving school tomorrow as well. Just to make sure I'm prepared. Hope it goes well la. Not cheap wei. I gotta rent a car from the school for $90. Can't really use the company one cuz its such a bloody shoddy car. Cracked windows, rotting steering wheel, rusted window wipers o_O Aihs...to think I'll be driving that car to work everyday once I get my license. Sadness.

Nothing much else apart from that. The week has been pretty boring. Just work, WoW and anime. Oh! I downloaded Advent Children too! Bloody awesome. Its definitely the best CG movie yet. As a movie, its still pretty cool la. Just wish there were more fight scenes involving the rest of the FF7 characters. But the whole movie was nice. The music is good too. The only qualm I have about it was that certain parts of the music didn't go with the scene la. It was a little hard understanding the story, since I've forgotten quite a bit of FF7. Watching the movie makes me feel like playing the game again ^_^ See how la, if I have time. Hehehe. The entire Advent Children story is actually on wikipaedia. And everything else FF too. Quite detailed.

Haven't blogged for more than a week. Been sorta busy la. Well, I've been away from my computer to be more accurate :p I was in Perth from Tuesday till Thursday. Visit my kaima for her birthday, as well as officially make her my kaima la. Had a small tea ceremony... I gave her a cup of tea, and she gave me angpow and a mini gold bowl & chopstick (its just laced with gold la). The bowl is suppose to represent us providing for each other or something like that.

Didn't do much else in Perth. I got hooked on some korean drama that my mom had (mom and sis were over there as well). Its called All In, and I reckon its pretty nice to watch. Rags to riches type of tale, with the obligatory love story/triangle. Its kinda slow moving la, lots of filler parts. Zoomed in shots of the actors crying, laughing etc etc. Repeat clips of them doing something in the past when they are feeling nostalgic. Same old tricks to lengthen a drama la. I'm thankful for the seek button on the remote ^_^ I'm down to 4 more discs (total of 20, 2 eps each)

Apart from all that, nothing much has happened at work. I only worked 2 days this week :) so my pay cheque isn't gonna be very satisfying. But I'll have my regular 50+ hours of work from next week onwards. Work at the company Mondays to Fri, and the cafe Mon and Wed nights. Oooo.. that just reminded me that I have to study for my driver's knowledge test. Damn lazy weii. Aihs... 109 pages worth of questions to look through, but they are pretty easy la. Common sense stuff. Just a pain to do. I plan to get 100% on my test :p

lunch break at work, so just gonna blog a little bit. don't have much to blog about actually. its just been work, go home, WoW and then sleep. Fatty is down here in Sydney though. Came down on Wednesday. I haven't lepak'ed with him yet. No time, plus I'm lazy too. Hehehe. Going back home at 7 and sleeping at 10 kills any social life outside of WoW o_O

don't even have time to watch the anime that fatty brought down for me. I'll probably just rip the DVDs or something. I'm gonna be working at Shark this weekend too, so won't have time then as well. Its my last 2 shifts though. I'm quitting this week. I'm still continuing with the cafe for a little while more, but I reckon I'll stop that too.

Once I get my driving license done, I'll be able to have more time to myself (i.e. WoW time :p), rather than spend 4 hours a day travelling to and from work. Damn sick... But I get to read on the train and catch up on some sleep, so its not as bad as it sounds la. Oh! and Carol is gonna come down Sydney for a couple of days from the 19th. Nice! I wanna travel around for work too.

b4 I forget...and update on my HP application. I emailed the recruiter and got this back:

We have informed 6 candidates that we wish to make them an offer and all
have indicated that they are likely to accept. We are just in the
process of ref checking and generating offers. The seventh Sydney role
has been withdrawn by the manager.

I would think that it is becoming less likely that we will be able to
continue with your application for this role.

Obviously I can't say anything definite until offers are accepted.

*sniff* I knew i needed an assasin... Lets hope that those 6 candidates bullshitted their way through the interviews and their refs don't check out ^_^ *prays really hard*

hey hey! back from Threadbo and it was bloody awesome! All my muscles are sore, I'm bruised in several areas and I have a sprained ankle but it was all worth it ^_^ Boarding is so cool, and I think both of us (me n Thos) did pretty well for our first time. We could do the falling leaf pattern (i'm lazy to explain :p) reasonably well ah. So we can go down a slope without bulldozing if we wanted to. The hard bit was doing the linked turns (which is the cool looking one ^_^). We learnt how to do that the 2nd day. Not too bad la. I can turn in one direction, but not in the other :p I think the most I managed was about 3-4 linked turns.

I didn't take a whole lot of pictures. Too engrossed in boarding, and I didn't bring my camera up to the mountain the first day.

Getting ready

Obviously not ready yet...

On the ski lift (duh?)

Some random location on the trail

I lost track of Thos on the 2nd day, so we just went exploring by ourself. This is part of the Village Trail, a green run (easiest)

This one is a blue run (more difficult) called Ballroom I think. Quite nice to board down, until you reach the bottom part. There were patches of ground and the snow is pretty thin. I avoided a patch of rock and wiped after that. Bloody painful landing on your knees. Ouch...

Thats about all the pictures la. Not a whole lot. The whole trip set us back roughly $500 each, but pretty worth it I suppose. It was great. Except that I can't go to work today cuz I can't walk properly. Gonna pop in to the doctor later today just to make sure my ankle is ok.

leaving for skiing in less than 10 minutes. i'm having a cold, and feeling a little feverish. don't care though. i'm going to have fun even if it kills me.

i'll try to post up pictures of Threadbo when we get back. Thats if I don't die on the mountain la o_O

almost 2am in the morning and I can't sleep. been tossing n turning in bed for roughly 2 hours. ugh. don't like this. I don't think Thos playing WoW on my computer helps either :p I need to get a a silent keyboard.

i didn't even have any coffee today. had a cup of earl grey in the morning and thats about it for my caffeine intake. just can't switch off my brain. too many random thoughts pouring in. and its not even useful random thoughts. haihs. thinking about work. about my application to HP (which I still haven't heard jack from). about the lack of a female presence in my life. about what i can do to get rich. sigh. oh! and also about WoW :p

I can always play WoW until I feel sleepy, but then I might not stop until its time for me to get to work. So i figure blogging is a reasonably safe option to pass some time. maybe I'm getting a little excited over the prospect of finally going skiing this weekend. almost 5 years of being in Australia and I haven't even seen snow yet. i've always categorised it as something too expensive for me to do. but then again, I shouldn't scrimp and save so much. Learn to live a little more, after all... I could get hit by a bus tomorrow. Or get run down by a forklift at work o_O (thats a very real danger for me btw...)

the latest music that i'm dloading? Nirvana... dance remix ^_^
