Thos bought World of Warcraft yesterday and he has to use my computer to play it (cuz his is too crap :p), which means I get to play it too!! And probably more often as well...since I don't work as many hours as him :) My character already levelled up more than his liao... although I have been playing for about ermm..6-7 hours now?
I'm blogging now...only cuz I'm making some lunch. Hehehe. Else I'll still be playing the game. Its gonna be March tomorrow liao, which means I get to start applying for some graduate programs... wish me luck!! I already got rejected for the IBM one... aihs. Sucks... don't even have a chance to get an interview

Hello hello. Haven't made much time for blogging lately. Thos came back with new PS2 games and I'm pretty much hooked. There goes any semblance of a social life out the window... I've been working fair bit as well anyway. I have 30 hours at the cafe this week... and I was fixing computers at Favco yesterday. $200 cash for a days work. Sweet!!
I'm pretty sure I had some stuff I wanted to blog about... but can't remember anymore. Can't imagine what it could be though... the last few days have been wake up, work, come home, exercise and then PS2 till bedtime :) I think I've almost finished the game I was playing anyway. Already clocked 20 hours on it since Sunday. Not bad...

I think the chin up bar has some strength sapping properties. I'll go up to it and say to myself, "I'm gonna do 10 chin-ups!" and then when I put my hands on it, all the strength goes out of my arms o_O Rather demotivating... but I still force myself to do it. Still can't do much though. I can only do a set of 5 when I'm fresh... and only 2/3s later. Don't think I've done more than 10 in a single session though :p But its still better than when I started out la.. could barely do 1 :p I do weigh roughly 80kgs, so cut me some slack.
Was spose to go down Darling Harbour today. There was a dragon boat race. Its some CNY event organised by Star City...but ended up not going. Tummy ache in the morning. Guess my diet has been really crap the past few days. Don't know what I'm gonna eat for dinner as well. I already had pizza yesterady (and the leftovers for lunch). Think I'll be forced to have cereal for dinner o_O Nothin else to eat at home...

I pulled a muscle while swimming today. Ouch. Really should stretch properly b4 doing exercises. Feel like crap now. Its affecting my neck and shoulder. Don't think I'll go anywhere for the rest of the day. I wanted to go down the city and lepak at a cafe. Get some reading and work done. But I figured staying home and rest would be cheaper :p I guess no movie tonight.
On another note, the Naruto anime got licensed. So getting the fansubs will be a little more of a pain. Theres a few groups doing the subbing, hopefully some of them will still continue :p With over a 120 episodes and still much more to come, it'll be a long while before the 'legal' version catches up. I really don't know what the big fuss about Naruto is. I don't think its as bad as Nicholas makes it out to be, but I think theres loads of better anime out there as well. One Piece for instance. Actually, Naruto is probably better than that... but One Piece is more nonsense and equally entertaining. OP is another bloody long anime, I think its on its 130th++ episode. It just finished a storyline arc now... so I'm pretty excited at whats gonna happen next ^_^ Otaku-speak. Naruto as well (manga version). Its starting up a new storyline and it looks pretty good as well. Can't really write about it... else some ppl might kill me for spoiling the story :p

I'm off for the rest of the week. Actually, I'm suppose to go Favco and fix some of the computers, but haven't contacted them yet. Better remember to do that later.
I already earned $220 this week. Enough to cover expenses... barely. I guess I do need to some find some other source of income soon. Even though my expenses have been cut down, I'm still not earning enough to make up for it. Hmmmm. What to do.. what to do?
I started behind the bar this week! Happiness! Heheheh. Wasn't there the whole time though. Just a couple of hours for training, and when it isn't busy. Theres really not a whole lot of do for most of the night. Theres the pre-show crowd... so it gets really busy from 6.30 to 7.30ish. Its a little havoc for me the first time, cuz I was just shown around the bar about 15 minutes b4 the crowds came o_O The drinks aren't much of a problem for me, I already know all their alcohol stuff (figures... :p) The only difficulty is doing the till. I'm bad with giving change and stuff... cuz gotta work it out in my head. Not good with that... I think I charged some ppl incorrectly as well :p Oops
Its supposed to get busy post show as well, but the past 2 days were alright, we start closing up at around 10.30 The place is usually open till about 12, sometimes up to 2am.
But neways... the serving and making drinks part is pretty fun. I like it... but after the crowds comes the crappy part of the job. Washing dishes. Most other places would have their own kitchenhand, but the bartender doubles as that over here. Its not a problem during the afternoon because we mostly use styrofoam plates and cutlery, but we use proper plates and cutlery at night. Aihs... part of the job I guess.

I didn't realise it was Valentines until Andy told me about it. I guess not watching TV and reading the news help :) Hmmm... I forgot whats the malay saying for that. Something below a tempurung? temperung? What the hell is a tempu/temperung anyway? Totally can't remember. Actually, I can't even recall the english version of the proverb. Not good...
Nothing much new to report. I'm pretty happy with all the anime that I managed to download ^_^ Got plenty of catching up to do. Hrmm. Sounds damn sad though... I'm spending Valentines lolling around in bed, watching anime and eating pizza o_O
My life kinda lacks excitement. Ah well. I'm pretty content with what I have at the moment. I've been thinking rather ego thoughts lately... I remember something on TV about symmetrical faces. And how thats suppose to be good. Don't know to tell if I have one though. But it got me thinking that I should be pretty happy about my looks. I have fairly decent features: no weird looking proboscis or jughead-looking ears, Jacq used to say that I have nice eyebrows (I personally can't imagine why though...), I'm fairly tall and have broad shoulders...
Hmmm..this is starting to sound like a personals ad, but what the hell. Even if nobody loves me, I shall love myself ^_^

yes yes yes!!!! I've got ADSL back!! My life is whole again!! internet! anime! games! porn! download download download!!!! yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!
i think i need something else to do with my life.. :p
exaggeration aside. I'm really quite happy that I get to sit in front of my own computer and use the internet. The whole adsl/phone line problem was all cuz of some stupid Telstra techie. A pox on him! The phone line actually got killed on Friday. A Telstra guy came and 'fixed' the adsl. He did a half arsed job and downed my phone line instead. Idiot!
Anyway... I wanted to use a payphone to call Telstra up, but theres no payphones in the immediate vicinity o_O what the?!? How can an 1000+ unit apartment complex NOT have a single payphone?? Closest one is only a 5 minute walk away la, but still.... Asides from the Telstra guy fucking my line up... one of the switches at the local exchange broke down as well. Kena 2 hit combo.... even if my line didn't get fucked, I wouldn't be able to use the phone anyway. Aihs.
BUTTT... all is forgiven. Cuz a techie came in this morning to fix things up ^_^ A Sunday morning too!! Must be 5-6 times I call up tech support to check on things :p

My first day of work! Yayyy! I'm employed again! Woo hoo! I'm not quite a bartender yet.. but all in due time :)
This job ain't too bad actually. I'm part of the Opera House organisation ^_^ I'll get my own photo ID, and a key card to get into the Opera House staff area too! Nice! The work itself is pretty simple la. Peanuts compared to the level of service I had to provide when working at Lemongrass. Its sorta tiring though, cuz u'd have to keep walking up and down looking for stuff to do.... and theres a lot of ground to cover. Ughh. But yah... working the floor is pretty simple la. It seems pretty hectic behind the counter though. The customers arrives in droves. And its bloody high traffic. One thing though... I've never seen so many old people before. Ever... Apart from the China/Japanese/Taiwan tourists...theres lots and lots and lots of old ppl. Grayed hair and wrinkled bodies as far as the eye can see o_O
I don't want to be old....
I guess more old ppl are interested in watching the artsy fartsy shows in the Opera House. I've not nothing much else to comment though. Didn't really do much. Ooo. One of the guy working there is called Vladimir. Middle age dude... nothing particularly interesting...except that he sounds like Dracula. His name also quite yeng. Fits him to the tee.
I'll only start behind the counter next week. Got 5 hours to do tomorrow...and got an extra shift on Saturday as well. Money money! ^_^ Ooo.... I'll be going back to Favco to work again next week. Its like I never left the company. Not sure how much work I got...maybe just a days worth. More money!! Woohoo! Its really funny how I don't have any problems with finances even though I don't have a fulltime job o_O I just got my bond back...that's $600. Andy paid me back $400 as well.... so I got an "extra" $1000 this week. Nice!

gong xi gong xi peeps!
i have no reunion dinner to go to, so cny doesn't mean anything to me... again. Hmmmm... this makes 5 years since i haven't celebrated CNY ?? with family that is....oh well.
whats been happening? ermmm... the broadband connection still hasn't been fixed. bloody hell. it was suppose to be done today, but kena rescheduled to Friday...baka baka baka bakaaaaa!!!! ARRRRGGGGHHHHHH!!!! Sigghhh. K k... mustn' let it get to me.
I went to see the doc today as well, an orthopedic surgeon. Paid $120 for ermm...nothing? Said my xrays were normal. The ossification is also insignificant, and that all i need to do is give it more time and rest o_O What a waste of time and money. At least I got a form to go to a MRI scan if I want to :) But only if it still bothers me after another 2-3 weeks or so. Ugh... I think I'm gonna end up with fucked knees for life.
I got to eat siu yuk today as well!! Hehehe. I think I'll do all my asian groceries and medical stuff in Campsie from now on. Can have siu yuk while I'm at it. ^_^ Highlight of my day. Should have bought some for dinner as well. There was a really long queue at the shop. Ppl lining up till outside the shop to buy siu yuk :) I wantttt!!!!
Oh! I'm starting work on Thursday. I got 6 hours on Thursday...and 4 hours on Friday...thats ermm $110 Hmmm...so little. But neway... I'm pretty excited at being able to finally work as a bartender...sort of. I did mention what kind of place it was right? Mainly a takeaway snack bar & some alcohol. So I won't always be making drinks. Oh well. They do have an actual bar inside the Opera House though, so I might be able to work there once I get accustomed to the job.

i've been an absolute sloth today. woke up at 11...and didn't do anything but lie on my bed until ermm now :p The only time I got up was when I needed to go toilet... or when looking for food. Sundays are the best! Although its been like that for me almost everyday... :p I did work out though. Put on my kendo gear for fun as well :) Need more practise in putting it on.
Yesterday ermm. Spent the day with Andy at Star City. His dad got upgraded to a 16th floor suite! Its pretty damn nice. Take a punt on the rates.
Its a 2 bedroom suite. I didn't take pictures of the bedrooms though... but its both pretty damn big. Oh! The suite comes with a butler as well .... o_O Thats abit too much for Andy n his dad, so they sent him off. How much would this set you back? AU$3000 a night. Not bad ehh... They got it for a couple of hundred though ^_^ Hugeass bargain. There weren't any normal rooms available, and Andy's dad is a VIP... so they scored a free upgrade. Nice!

I really wanted to sleep early tonight... but ended up re-watching some old animes on my computer (yes... I am that bored) But apart from that, my knee is really killing me. And stupid thing is... its my right knee this time. Long story short... both my knees are pretty fucked. I think it might be all the walking around I did today. Its really bugging me...but theres nothing I can take for the pain. Arrrggghh!!
And being a Friday night...theres no1 online as well. Bloody #$&@ I'm uber bored... Aihss.
I've been doing a little thinking. I'll take up that job if I've got nothing else by the next week. Doesn't hurt to earn a little money. The pay is really pathetic though. $11/hour initially. And then $12/hour once I'm up to scratch. Way less than what I got at Favco...and I thought that was pretty hard to beat o_O These kind of jobs are alright if the tips are good, but unfortunately this place doesn't get tipped much. and its not much point renewing the dial up account since we applied for broadband liao. but the mofo forgot the password he applied with... and hes not here to check the account details... and he tell me not to worry about it summore. hopefully i can get the ISP to change the email on the account...and the password. then at least i can chase up the adsl thing myself. if not... OOOoooo. upskirt!!! hahahahah

A state of annoyance...
I've been unemployed for 3 weeks liao. My bank account feels the sting *ouch* Actually... not really la. I did get paid for the 3 days I went to work casual for Favco. And my godmom gave me $1000 angpow :) But ermmm. yeah. Not working is getting kinda annoying now. I don't do anything nowadays but sleep, exercise, eat and online. Hmmmmm. That would be a nice routine if I didn't have to worry about money.
I called up some clubs today... and they don't hire inexperienced bartenders. And how much exp do you need? 1 to 2 years... Ugghhhh. I think I'm beginning to lose my 'no worries' mentality. Hmmmm. I shall indulge myself in some ice cream to make myself feel better :p Ooo... Thos just left for KL as well. I shall help him er... dispose of the ice cream thats left in the freezer. Wouldn't want it going bad... ^_^

First impressions

That feels like only half of my original collection at its peak. I fini..err I mean.. I gave away a couple of bottles when I left Melbourne :p Anwayyy... turn around and you meet...

U'r thinking thats not a lot of toys? Thats just cuz theres another cupboard with He-Man toys on it. Still not enough? Thos has a pile of unopened boxes in the corner of the house. o_O
I'll finish off with a cocktail recipe ^_^
Pink Gin
Shake a few drops of Angostura into a wine or cocktail glass. Swirl it around the glass and shake it out. Pour in 1 1/2 shot of gin (obviously Bombay Sapphire ^_^) and u'r done! Easy peasy.
I'm curious as to how some ppl can claim to have more energy after exercising. I've been swimming in the morning... and I just feel like going right back to sleep after that. My body feels absolutely raw, but thats from Monday's work out. I wanted to do more yesterday. I put my hands on the chin up bar... and whole body goes weak liao :p I couldn't pull myself up. It felt like I was ripping my muscles. Very ouch!
Therefore, I'm just gonna stick to swimming for another day or two. I should be ok to start proper exercises by then.
I was planning to go down city n apply for more jobs today. but feelin real lazy :) Way too slack... but can't do nuts at the moment neway. One of the bars I asked at yesterday mentioned that they'll be hiring soon though. Cuz some ppl are leaving... and business will start picking up once the tourist season start. Heres hoping!
Gonna start on lunch now... think I'll grill some chicken ^_^ to be cont.

He wanders into Favco's parking lot every now and then. Probably from one of the houses nearby. Pretty smart too! I was sitting on the curb and waved to him, then it came up to me and gave me his paw. So cute!!! Made me miss having a dog around. Sighh.
